How to Build & Operate a Model Railroad

It was through the catalogs that most of us got our first glimpse of the show room layout on the second floor of the New York Hall of Science.   For most of us, it was our only glimpse and we didn't really know for sure what it was we were looking at, as the photos were never labeled.  It was just a fantastic layout, what we wished our train set looked like.

This section collects those catalog illustrations and identifies the areas of the layout pictured.  It also includes the cover illustration from the first edition of How to Build and Operate a Model Railroad, by Marshall McClintock.
