Boy with Washington Set
I am not sure that this is the correct orientation of this photo from left to right, but it is the same orientation as similar photos used in advertising. This is probably a rejected shot as a similar shot in which the boy had a more normal expression on his face is the one that was used in the advertising. The locomotive shown has a diamond stack and is the production prototype for this locomotive. The actual locomotive had the same funnel stack used on the Franklin locomotive. The illustrations below come from 1960 and 1960-61 catalogs.
