1958 | 28220 | Traveling Display With Modified 28235 Layout |
This photo actually presents two displays. The 28220 number refers to the background pegboard display. At first I thought this number, which was referenced in a note attached to the photo, referred to the 5 x 9 train display, but some Gilbert literature describes the 28220 as being 20 feet wide, which could only apply to the background display. The additional statement in the note that "This photo may be useful as a guide in future showings, however it is extremely versatile and it will lend itself to many variations" makes it clear that they are talking about the bacground display panels. The train display appears to be a variation of the 28235 display with scenery replacing the road race track. It probably has its own number but I don't know what it is. |
